Located in the gayest part of the gayest street in the gayest part of London Balans can be called a gay dining institution. Why? Because if you ask a Londoner what they think is the gayest restaurant in London, Balans would probably come to mind...
It's open til the very early hours (6am) situated in London’s Theatreland so is perfect for a pre theatre meal or a post show snack or drinks and with extra late opening hours guest always made to feel welcome from the cute staff.
They offers a seasonal menu as well as daily specials using the best fresh ingredients available. Breakfast specialities include eggs Benedict, blueberry pancakes as well as a traditional English breakfast.
Main meal specialities are steaks, seafood, the famous Balans burger (if you're a visitor then it has to be having a Balans burger has to be one of those "must do" items on the list) as well as truly tempting desserts. With a varied modern brasserie style menu Balans really hits the spot. They also offer an extensive wine menu and a cocktail bar serving a wide range of drinks, including martinis, mojitos and frozen daiquiris.
With its low lit stylish braserie atmosphere, mostly gay clientele, uber gay location, friendly international hot staff and decent meals, we're giving it a thumbs up.
